  • 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil, divided
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 150grams plant-based yoghurt
  • 1teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 240grams granulated sugar
  • 300grams all-purpose flour
  • 100grams cocoa powder
  • 1teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

Method

Step 1 of 5

Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease a Bundt pan with 2 tbs of vegetable oil placing the pan onto a baking tray setting it aside.

Step 2 of 5

Blend the remaining vegetable oil, bananas, almond milk, yoghurt, vanilla and sugar together using a hand blender or stand up blender, mixing until smooth.

Step 3 of 5

Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda together over a bowl. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until there are no visible lumps in the batter.

Step 4 of 5

Pour the batter into the greased Bundt pan, bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the cake.

Step 5 of 5

Let the cake cool in the pan for 1 hour before tipping the pan onto a cake platter, releasing the cake from the pan.
