  • 320grams Barilla Spaghetti No 5
  • 500grams white cup mushrooms
  • 1tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 20grams unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/3 cup pitted Sicilian olives, halved lengthways
  • 400grams Barilla Basilico sauce
  • 50grams Greek-style feta, crumbled
  • 1/4 bunch basil, leaves picked

Description

This hearty, warming bowl of spaghetti will impress on any occasion with just three easy steps and comforting Italian flavours.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Cook pasta according to packet instructions. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid.

Step 2 of 3

Meanwhile, cut half of the mushrooms into quarters and thickly slice remaining mushrooms. Heat oil and butter in a large deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes or until golden. Add garlic, olives and sauce to pan and stir to combine. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes or until mixture is hot.

Step 3 of 3

Add spaghetti and reserved cooking liquid to pan. Toss to combine. Divide spaghetti mixture among plates. Top with feta and basil. Serve.
