Description

My fav biscuits are crackers, if you can't go out to the shops try this recipe to make your own crackers.

Method

Step 1 of 9

Preheat oven to 160 deg

Step 2 of 9

Put Flour, salt & sugar into a food processor with the metal blade, pulse to combine.

Step 3 of 9

Add the butter & pulse to make coarse crumbs.

Step 4 of 9

Gradually add the milk, pulse to combine until the dough comes together and makes a ball.

Step 5 of 9

Place the dough onto a floured surface. Roll the dough into a rectangle shape to the thickness you would like your crackers to be.

Step 6 of 9

Cut the dough into cracker size of your choice. eg: 5cm squares

Step 7 of 9

Sprinkle lightly with Sea Salt, gently press the salt into the dough. Prick holes into the dough with a fork to prevent puffing.

Step 8 of 9

Put the squares onto a baking sheet & bake for 10 minutes. Rotate the tray and bake another 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 90 deg and bake a further 7 minutes. Keep a close eye on the so they dont burn or go too brown.

Step 9 of 9

Cool the crackers on a wire rack & store in an airtight container.
