  • 2teaspoons MasterFoods Garlic Powder
  • 2teaspoons MasterFoods Dried Oregano
  • 1/4 cup MasterFoods Alabama Spice Mix
  • 1tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup MasterFoods Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 cup MasterFoods Barbecue Sauce
  • 1-2kilograms American-style pork ribs (serve as 4 small racks)
  • 2tablespoons brown sugar

Method

Step 1 of 4

Combine sauces, spice mix, sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, oregano and 1/3 cup water in a large bowl. Add pork ribs and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or overnight (if time permits).

Step 2 of 4

Preheat oven to 170°C/150°C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with foil and then baking paper. Remove ribs from marinade, allowing excess marinade to return to bowl. Transfer ribs to prepared tray, reserving marinade. Cover tray with foil. Bake for 11/2 hours or until ribs are tender.

Step 3 of 4

Increase oven temperature to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Remove foil. Bake ribs, basting with reserved marinade and cooking juices, for 20-30 minutes or until sticky and glazed.

Step 4 of 4

Cut ribs into portions. Serve with boiled or grilled corn cobs.
