  • 1 brown onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 beetroot, peeled, grated
  • 125grams soft cheddar, crumbled
  • 60grams baby spinach leaves
  • 400grams Turkish bread, split, toasted
  • 1/4 cup aioli
  • 135grams sweet potato chips (optional)
  • 2tablespoons olive oil
  • 400grams beef sizzle steaks

Method

Step 1 of 4

Heat 1 tbs oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook onion for 8 minutes or until soft and golden brown. Remove from pan.

Step 2 of 4

Reheat frying pan over high heat. Coat steaks with remaining oil and season. Cook, in batches, for 1 minute on each side or until golden brown.

Step 3 of 4

Place bottom half of toast on a large chopping board. Spread with aioli, top with spinach, tomato, beetroot, steaks, onion and cheese.

Step 4 of 4

Add a few chips, if using, sandwich with toast lid and cut into 6 sandwiches to serve.
