  • 1 cup cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 red capsicum, deseeded (sliced)
  • 2 carrots (shredded)
  • 1/2 red onion (finely sliced)
  • 2tablespoons continental parsley
  • 40grams rocket
Spiced Beef
  • 45grams lemongrass & kaffir lime stir-fry shot
  • 500grams rump steak
Vietnamese Dressing
  • 1tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 1 small red chilli (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic

Method

Step 1 of 5

To make the spiced beef, rub steak with stir-fry shots and marinate for 15 minutes.

Step 2 of 5

Cook steak on a preheated chargrill pan or barbecue over medium-high heat for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Slice.

Step 3 of 5

To make the Vietnamese dressing, combine all the ingredients and 1/4 cup water in a screw-top jar. Shake well until sugar dissolves.

Step 4 of 5

To make the slaw, combine cabbage, onion and half the carrot in a bowl. Add rocket, capsicum, parsley and remaining carrot to bowl with 1/4 cup dressing and toss to combine.

Step 5 of 5

Add beef to bowl and serve with remaining dressing.
