  • 300grams yellow split peas
  • 2tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 200grams chopped tomatoes
  • 5centimeters ginger, peeled and minced
  • 2teaspoons cumin
  • 2teaspoons turmeric
  • 1teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 large green chilli, sliced
  • 2 3/4 cup vegetable stock, made with 1 stock cube
  • 1tablespoons honey
  • 1 bunch silverbeet, stems removed, chopped

Description

This slow cooker silverbeet dahl is richly spiced and simple to make, great for curry night.

Method

Step 1 of 2

Add all of the ingredients except the silverbeet to the slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours.

Step 2 of 2

Stir in the chopped silverbeet, lemon zest and cook until wilted, 5-6 minutes. Serve with rice or naan bread, if desired.
