Description

The humble packet of instant ramen noodles gets a tasty upgrade with this easy hack recipe. Add a few fresh additions, your meal is ready in 10 minutes.

The options are endless when it comes to hacking a packet of ramen. Try adding spring onion, toasted sesame seeds, Chinese barbecue pork, fried egg, roasted chicken or kimchi.

Method

Step 1 of 2

Place seasoning sachet from noodle packet, egg and mayonnaise in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine.

Step 2 of 2

Cook noodles according to packet instructions, adding pak choy in the last 30 seconds of cooking. Drain, reserving 1 tbs cooking liquid. Remove pak choy and set aside. Add noodles to egg mixture with reserved cooking liquid, then stir to combine. Transfer noodle mixture to a bowl. Serve topped with pak choy, shallots and chilli flakes.
