  • 2tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 quantity prawn dumplings
  • 250grams dried pad Thai rice noodles
  • 1/4 small Chinese wombok cabbage, shredded
  • 150grams shredded carrot
  • 1 small red onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup satay sauce
  • 1tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1/4 bunch mint, leaves picked
  • 1/4 bunch basil, leaves picked
  • 1/2 cup granulated nuts

Description

Combine delicious prawn dumplings with pad Thai noodles for a powerful Asian flavour combination like no other.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook dumplings, in batches, for 1 minute each side or until golden brown and cooked.

Step 2 of 4

Meanwhile, cook noodles in a large saucepan of boiling water for 3 minutes or until tender. Drain. Refresh under cold water. Using kitchen scissors, snip noodles into shorter lengths. Transfer to a large bowl.

Step 3 of 4

Add cabbage, carrot, onion, satay sauce, sesame oil, fish sauce, mint and basil to noodles. Toss to combine. Season.

Step 4 of 4

Spoon noodle mixture into shallow serving bowls. Top with dumplings. Serve sprinkled with nuts.
