Description
These simple Irish potato bread patties make a great addition to a full Irish breakfast and you can use leftover mash to save time.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Cook the potatoes in a pan of boiling salted water until tender, 12-15 minutes. Drain well and tip back into the pan.
Step 2 of 3
Mash the potatoes until smooth. Stir in the flour and salt. Tip on to a floured work surface, roll into a thick circle and cut into 4 equal pieces. Dust each with flour.
Step 3 of 3
Heat the butter in a pan on medium heat and fry each patty for 3 minutes on each side, until golden.
