Description

Peanut butter and bacon? Trust us: it works. This toasty treat was a favourite of The King himself (Elvis!) and it's sure to get a starring role in your sanga line-up.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat a sandwich press. Heat a medium frying pan over high heat. Cook bacon for 8 minutes, stirring or until crispy and golden. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel.

Step 2 of 3

Add banana to a shallow bowl and mash with a fork. Place 2 bread slices on a clean work bench. Spread 1 slice with banana and 1 slice with ¼ cup peanut butter. Sprinkle one-quarter of the bacon on the banana slice and place peanut butter slice on top. Repeat this process with the remaining 6 remaining slices of bread.

Step 3 of 3

Spray the outsides of each sandwich and toast, in batches, for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a board, cut in half on the diagonal and serve immediately.
