- 100grams pudding rice, rinsed and drained
- 50grams caster sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1teaspoons vanilla bean paste
- 1 3/4 cup water
- 400grams can evaporated milk
- 2teaspoons rosewater
- 50grams pistachio nuts, roughly chopped
- 3 rose petals
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place the rice, sugar, cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean paste and measurement water in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Step 2 of 3
Reduce the heat and simmer the rice, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Stir in the evaporated milk and rosewater and simmer for a further 10 minutes until the rice is tender. Remove the cinnamon sticks.
Step 3 of 3
Pour the rice pudding into warmed serving dishes and sprinkle with the pistachios and rose petals, if liked. Serve immediately.
