Description

You wont need to buy crackers again with this very easy and really tasty home made recipe.
Instruction tip
Try different spices to sprinkle on top. My favourite is Thyme/Salt/Chilli flakes.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Mix together flour and salt

Step 2 of 6

In a separate bowl mix together; water (bit by bit), egg and olive oil until well mixed. You may need to add a little more water if the mixture is too dry and crumbly)

Step 3 of 6

Combined the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix together. Knead with your hands until the dough comes together. Don't knead too much, just until the dough forms, otherwise the end result will be tough.

Step 4 of 6

Turn the oven on to 200°C. Split the dough into two balls and let it rest for as long as it takes for the oven to get to the right temperature

Step 5 of 6

Once rested, roll the dough out as thin as possible. The thinner the dough the crispier they will be. Place the rolled dough on baking paper/cookie sheets. Lightly brush the dough with a little olive oil and sprinkle with some salt

Step 6 of 6

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it's slightly brown and crispy.
