- 1/4 cup gochujang
- 2tablespoons salt-reduced soy sauce
- 2tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2tablespoons brown sugar
- 3centimeters ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1teaspoons sesame oil
- 1tablespoons Woolworths vegetable oil
- 750grams chicken breast fillets, cut into 2.5cm pieces
- 5milliliter olive oil cooking spray
- 1teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 spring onion, green part only, thinly sliced
- 1/4 bunch coriander, leaves picked
- 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced
Description
Set yourself up for barbecue success with the most flavoursome and succulent chicken skewers marinated in a homemade Korean-style sauce.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place gochujang, soy, vinegar, sugar, ginger, garlic, sesame and vegetable oils, and chicken in a large bowl. Stir until chicken is coated. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours
or overnight, if time permits.
Step 2 of 3
Spray a barbecue or large chargrill pan with oil, then heat over medium-high heat. Thread chicken onto 8 large metal skewers, reserving marinade. Grill skewers for 15 minutes, turning and basting with reserved marinade, or until golden and cooked through.
Step 3 of 3
Serve scattered with sesame seeds, onion, coriander and chilli.
