  • 12 slices wholemeal bread
  • 1/3 cup tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup pizza cheese, grated
  • 6 slices ham, off the bone
  • 6 slices mild salami
  • 1teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 red capsicum, 2/3 cup roasted, chopped
  • 200grams Solanato tomatoes, halved
  • 1/3 cup kalamata olives, pitted
  • 120grams baby salad leaves
  • 5milliliter extra virgin olive oil spray
  • 1tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Description

Who doesn't love a jaffle? This gourmet toastie with ham, salami, tomato, capsicum, olives, cheese and oregano will become a lunch favourite.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat a jaffle maker or sandwich press. Spread bread with tomato paste.

Step 2 of 4

Top half the bread slices evenly with cheese, ham, salami, capsicum and oregano. Finish with a second slice of bread, tomato paste-side down.

Step 3 of 4

Spray the jaffle maker or sandwich press with oil. Cook sandwiches for 5 minutes or until golden.

Step 4 of 4

Combine salad leaves, tomato, olives and vinegar in a bowl. Season. Serve jaffles with salad.
