  • 150grams unsalted butter
  • 100grams dark chocolate melts
  • 1 1/2 cup brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • 2tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 10 piece chocolate covered honeycomb , roughly chopped
  • 2 eggs , lightly beaten

Description

A most delightful and indulgent treat of honeycomb and dark chocolate brownies.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Melt the butter and chocolate melts over a medium heat in the microwave for a minute or so until combined. Then stir in the brown sugar.

Step 2 of 5

Slightly whisk the eggs together before adding. Then add the combined mix of the flours/cocoa powder along with the milk.

Step 3 of 5

Roughly chop up the honeycomb pieces so you have larger and smaller pieces.

Step 4 of 5

Add 3/4 of the chopped honeycomb to the mixture to carefully fold through with a spatula being careful to not break the delicate honeycomb. Spread it into a well greased/lined tray to then sprinkle the remaining 1/4 honeycomb on the top.

Step 5 of 5

Bake for 30 minutes on 160 degrees then turn the tray around for a further 10 minutes. Let it cool completely in the tray before slicing into pieces.
Instruction tip

Allow to cool before slicing as the honeycomb will be very hot.
