Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease and line a deep 23x33cm pan with paper.

Step 2 of 4

Prepare the cake mixes together, following packet instructions. Transfer to pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cooked through when tested. Cool for 10 minutes in pan before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 3 of 4

Meanwhile, prepare icing mixture following packet instructions. Cut cake into a football shape. Trim top of cake to level then cut in half through the middle to make 2 layers. Spread bottom layer with some of the icing mixture and replace top layer. Transfer to a rectangle cake board. Spread remaining icing over top and sides. Chill for 20 mins to set.

Step 4 of 4

Fit a piping bag with a plain nozzle and fill bag with melted white chocolate. Pipe ‘laces’ onto centre of cake and stitching as shown. Serve.
