Description

These savoury goats cheese and fresh herb scones are delicious served warm.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C. Place the flour and butter cubes in a large bowl and rub the butter into the flour using your finger tips, until you have a fine crumb consistency.

Step 2 of 3

Make a well in the dry mix and add 3/4 of the milk, mix well with a knife to form a dough. Add the goats cheese and chopped herbs and mix well.

Step 3 of 3

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and roll out to 2cm thick. Cut into discs with a glass or cutter. Repeat with the trimmings. Place on a lined baking sheet, brush the scones with milk and bake for 14-16 minutes until risen and golden.
