- 350grams grapefruit
- 1 medium lemon
- 1200grams sugar
- 1L water
Description
A classic marmalade recipe but with grapefruit adds a sweet bitterness.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Wash the fruit with hot water to remove wax from the skin. Slice the top and bottom off the lemon and grapefruit and slice into quarters.
Step 2 of 4
Remove as many of the pips as possible by using a fork. Place all the ingredients then into a large pot, bring to the boil for 10 minutes wile stirring occasionally.
Step 3 of 4
Allow the pot to them simmer while stirring occasionally for another 20 minutes until liquid starts to reduce.
Step 4 of 4
When the liquid has reduced enough, remove from the heat and then blend using a hand blender. Allow the marmalade to cool to one side for up to 4 hours before storing in an air-tight container.
