  • 3/4 milk

Method

Step 1 of 6

Line 2 -24 muffin tins with paper cupcake patty pans of choice. Preheat oven to 180c

Step 2 of 6

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla til light and creamy add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition fold in half the flour and then half the milk until combined Repeat with remain flour and milk.

Step 3 of 6

Spoon batter into patty cases and bake in 180c oven until skewer or toothpick comes out clean cool on wire rack before decorating.

Icing 125gm butter 1 1/2 cups icing sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 8 drops food coloring Beat all together before adding food colouring decorate with sprinkles or you can buy ready made flowers in baking section at woolies

Piping icing 200 gm butter 3 cups icing sugar 1-2 teaspoons vanilla 1 dessert spoon of meringue powder( queen pavlova and meringue mix buy in cake section helps keep the shape ) 1-2 tablespoons milk if needed food colouring of choice Beat all except food colouring until white and creamy not too runny or will not pipe if you add a little extra icing sugar if needed pipe with your choice of nozzle I like the french nozzle you can buy at any kitchen store pipe in swirls decorate with your choice of flowers you can buy at woolies I make my own

You can slice the top off put a drop of jam and cream cut top in 1/2 press into cream dust with icing sugar making butterfly cakes.
