Description

Try our easy apple cake recipe for afternoon tea. The cake itself only needs four ingredients, then just add some sugar and yogurt. Give it a go today.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease and line base and side of 20cm round springform pan with baking paper.

Step 2 of 3

Place eggs and brown sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment. Whisk on medium speed for 5 minutes or until thick and pale.

Step 3 of 3

Carefully fold in flour and apple. Pour into pan and bake for 1 hour or until cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted into centre comes out clean. Cool cake in pan. Transfer to a serving plate and dust with icing sugar. Serve with yoghurt.
