  • 3 rashers bacon
  • 4 mushrooms
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 3tablespoons cream
  • 1tablespoons plain flour
  • 150milliliter water
  • 1/4 bbq chicken
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1teaspoons oil
  • 1 cup cheese

Description

Use leftover BBQ chicken to make this delicious pasta bake.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Heat oil and add chopped onion and bacon. Once browned add the mushrooms and chopped BBQ chicken pieces. Cook until mushrooms are browned.

Step 2 of 5

Add water, cream, flour and chopped spinach. More water (to make it thinner) and flour (to make it thicker) may need to be added depending on desired consistency - which should be fairly thick.

Step 3 of 5

Heat water in a pot and when boiling add pasta. Cook as per the packet instructions.

Step 4 of 5

Once pasta is cooked, strain and pour into an oven dish. Add the sauce mixture and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake for 15 min at 180 degrees or until the cheese has melted on top of the pasta.

Step 5 of 5

Preheat oven at 180 degrees.
