Craving comfort food? Whip up this quick and easy creamy chicken pasta bake for dinner tonight and serve it with a crunchy salad.

Variation:Mix up the flavour and turn this into a tuna pasta bake by swapping chicken for canned tuna.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Cook pasta in a saucepan of boiling, salted water according to packet instructions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking liquid.
Step 2 of 5
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook garlic and onion, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened. Add cream, peas and chicken, then bring to the boil.
Step 3 of 5
Stir in pasta, reserved cooking liquid, tasty cheese and half the basil. Transfer to a large baking dish.
Step 4 of 5
Preheat grill to high. Sprinkle parmesan over pasta mixture.
Grill for 5 minutes or until golden.
Step 5 of 5
Meanwhile, prepare salad according to packet instructions. Top pasta bake with remaining basil and season with pepper. Serve with salad.
