Description
Indulge in the ultimate comfort food – a juicy beef patty, melted cheese, tomato sauce and mustard, sandwiched between soft buns. It's a quick weeknight meal that won't break the bank.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Place a large baking tray in the oven and preheat to 230°C/210°C fan-forced. Working quickly, remove tray from oven and line with baking paper. Spread chips out in a single layer and bake for 15 minutes, turning halfway, or until golden-brown.
Step 2 of 4
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook burger patties for 5 minutes each side, pushing down slightly and topping with cheese in the last 1 minute of cooking until slightly melted.
Step 3 of 4
Place a cheesy patty on each bun base. Top with sauce and mustard. Season with freshly cracked black pepper. Sandwich with bun lids.
Step 4 of 4
Serve burgers with chips.
