  • 300milliliter thickened cream
  • 50grams dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 2tablespoons icing sugar mixture
  • 2packets Woolworths mini choc sponge rolls, cut into thirds
  • 500grams cherries

Description

Ready in 10 minutes, this decadent chocolate and cherry sponge roll wreath will be the star of your Christmas dessert table.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place ¼ cup cream and chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, for 1 minute or until chocolate is melted. Set aside to cool.

Step 2 of 3

Place remaining cream and icing sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment and whip for 3 minutes or until firm peaks form.

Step 3 of 3

Arrange sponge roll slices, cut-side up, in a wreath shape on a large serving platter. Dollop cream over the top. Decorate with cherries. Serve drizzled with chocolate sauce.
