- 2 lemons
- 2tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2tablespoons paprika
- 1/2tablespoons ground cardamom
- 1tablespoons onion powder
- 1tablespoons ground cumin

- 600grams chicken thigh fillets
- 1 brown onion, peeled and halved
- 2 pre-soaked bamboo skewers
- 6 Lebanese bread rounds
- 1/2 iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 continental cucumber, thinly sliced

Description
Refuel after a hectic day with a juicy homemade doner kebab elevated with a high-protein YoPRO yoghurt sauce.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Adjust oven shelves to fit the height of skewers in the oven. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Juice 1 lemon. In a large bowl, combine oil, garlic, paprika, cardamom, onion powder, cumin, lemon juice and half of the yoghurt. Season. Add chicken and toss to coat.
Step 2 of 4
Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Place onion halves, cut-side down, 5cm apart on prepared tray. Insert one skewer vertically into each onion half. Skewer chicken fillets tightly to rest against onion.
Step 3 of 4
Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until onion edges are golden and charred and chicken is cooked through. Hold skewers and carefully slice thin strips of chicken.
Step 4 of 4
Spread bread with remaining yoghurt. Top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chicken and onion. Cut remaining lemon into wedges and serve with kebabs.
