  • 500grams dough balls
  • 1tablespoons plain flour, for dusting
  • 3teaspoons Vegemite®
  • 1 cup shredded tasty cheese
  • 5milliliter olive oil cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup Woolworths tomato sauce (to serve)

Description

Is there any better combo than cheese and vegemite? Make your own moreish Vegemite scrolls at home with this easy recipe using ready-made dough balls.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Stand dough for 1 hour.

Step 2 of 4

Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Grease a 12-hole, 1/3-cup capacity muffin pan.

Step 3 of 4

Roll 1 dough ball on a lightly floured surface to form a 20 x 25cm rectangle. Spread with half of the Vegemite®, then sprinkle over half of the cheese. Starting at 1 long side, roll up dough to enclose filling. Repeat with remaining dough ball, Vegemite and cheese.

Step 4 of 4

Cut each log into 6 even slices. Working with 1 slice at a time, slightly flatten with your hands, then place, cut-side up, in pan. Spray with oil, then bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Cool for 5 minutes. Serve with sauce.
