  • 4 large brown onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 pinch pepper (for seasoning)
  • 1tablespoons olive oil
  • 2tablespoons brown sugar

Method

Step 1 of 2

Heat butter and olive oil in a large deep frying pan over medium heat. When butter has melted add brown onions, a pinch of salt and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes or until onions turn a rich golden colour.

Step 2 of 2

Add brown sugar and vinegar. Stir until well combined and cook for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving bowl
