  • 125grams Woolworths salted butter
  • 380grams chocolate brownie mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/4 cup Woolworths thickened cream
  • 1 pinch sea salt flakes
  • 6 scoops vanilla ice-cream

Description

A must-have for chocolate lovers, this divine treat for the senses combines the fudgy goodness of a brownie with the velvety smoothness of salted caramel. Enjoy this brownie pudding served warm!

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 20cm (base measurement) square baking dish with 1 tsp butter. Melt 80g butter in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave or in a small saucepan over medium heat. Place brownie mix, melted butter and egg in a bowl. Mix until well combined. Spoon into greased dish. Spread out evenly. Bake for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, to make sauce, use a balloon whisk to stir sugar and 1/4 cup water in a 20cm (base) saucepan over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves. Simmer, without stirring, using a pastry brush dipped in water to dissolve any sugar particles that form on the edge of the pan, for 6-8 minutes or until golden. Remove from heat. Add remaining butter and whisk carefully to combine. Whisk in cream and salt until well combined.

Spoon sauce over pudding. Serve with ice-cream.
