  • 1/3 cup vanilla custard
  • 100grams dark chocolate, keep 20g for garnish and grate into shards
  • 150grams cherries, drain and keep the kirsch/juice.
  • 1/3-plus 1 tsp cup whipped cream, whipped
  • 80grams chocolate brownie, broken

Description

This creamy chocolate dessert evokes the taste of the classic Black Forest Gateaux but with a lot less of the work.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Heat up a pot to a medium heat and melt 80g of chocolate with the custard and then remove from the heat to cool.

Step 2 of 5

Combine the broken brownies in a bowl with the drained cherries. Prepare your individual pots or 1 large bowl by layering as below.

Step 3 of 5

Place the brownie/cherry mix at the base. Next add the chocolate cream mix.

Step 4 of 5

Whip the cream into peaks with 2 tablespoons of the cherry liquid.

Step 5 of 5

Place the cherry cream on top and then garnish with the 20g of chocolate shards before serving.
