Description

A crunchy sweet topping on this smooth dessert balances quite well.

Method

Step 1 of 8

Heat up a large saucepan with the cherries, syrup and water and bring to the boil.

Step 2 of 8

Allow the cherries to simmer for 10 minutes so that the liquid starts to reduce.

Step 3 of 8

Once the sauce has reduced and the cherries become sticky, remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Step 4 of 8

Prepare 4 serving glasses by placing broken sponge at the bottom of each glass.

Step 5 of 8

Pour the cherries into each glass on top of the brownies.

Step 6 of 8

Now pour the chocolate sauce onto the cherries.

Step 7 of 8

Whip the cream with the vanilla and icing sugar and then place that on top of the chocolate sauce.

Step 8 of 8

Serve with broken meringue nests on top.
