Description

This rich beef and mushroom stroganoff will be ready for family dinner time in just 20 minutes.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Place rice and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan over high heat, bring to the boil and simmer until craters form in the rice. Cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for another 3 minutes, then take off the heat and leave, covered, for another 5 minutes.

Step 2 of 4

Heat oil in a fry pan over high heat and sear beef until brown. Remove beef from pan and set aside. Add mushrooms to pan and sauté until soft. Return beef to pan.

Step 3 of 4

Pour in the recipe base and stir through. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

Step 4 of 4

Divide rice among serving bowls, top with stroganoff and serve.
