For the marinate
- 1/3 cup yoghurt
- 1teaspoons ginger, dried
- 2teaspoons coriander
- 2teaspoons cumin
- 2teaspoons garam masala
- 1teaspoons chilli flakes
- 1teaspoons garlic, powder
- 1tablespoons lime juice
- 700grams halloumi cheese, drained and cubed
- 2 medium red onion, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 medium red capsicum, de-seeded and cut into chunks
- 1 medium green capsicum, de-seeeded and cut into chunks
- 1tablespoons canola oil
Description
Simple, quick and lightly spiced halloumi skewers.
Method
Step 1 of 6
Prepare your marinade by frying all your marinate spices on a non-stick pan on medium heat for 30 seconds and remove from the heat.
Step 2 of 6
Combine the heated spices with the yoghurt and lime juice.
Step 3 of 6
Prepare your peppers, onion and halloumi into cubed and skewer them.
Step 4 of 6
Allow your skewers to marinate in the tandoori sauce overnight in the fridge.
Step 5 of 6
Next day, take the skewers from the marinate and chargrill for 3 minutes with the canola oil while turning constantly.
Step 6 of 6
Remove from the heat when they start to brown and serve with the leftover marinade to dip.
