- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 125grams butter
- 1/4 cup rice flour

Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with paper.
Step 2 of 4
Sift flour, icing sugar and rice flour together into a large bowl. Add butter and rub into flour, using fingertips, until well combined. Press mixture together to form a dough.
Step 3 of 4
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently until smooth. Roll dough out with a rolling pin until 4mm thick and place in fridge to chill. Cut out star shapes from dough using star cutters.
Step 4 of 4
Place on trays and bake for 15 minutes until pale golden. Cool for 5 minutes on the trays before moving to a wire rack to cool completely. See right for decorating.
