  • 1teaspoons MasterFoods Ginger Ground
  • 1 1/2teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1teaspoons MasterFoods Mixed Spice
  • 1teaspoons MasterFoods Cinnamon Ground
  • 125grams butter, softened
  • icing sugar mixture
  • 1/2teaspoons bicarbonate soda
  • 1/4 cup golden syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • Christmas sprinkles

Method

Step 1 of 10

Beat butter, caster sugar and egg with electric mixer until pale and thickened.

Step 2 of 10

Stir in golden syrup, and then sift all remaining dry ingredients into the mixture.

Step 3 of 10

Mix to combine.

Step 4 of 10

Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth.

Step 5 of 10

Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 6 of 10

Preheat oven to 150°C (130°C fan forced).

Step 7 of 10

Roll out dough to 5mm thick on baking paper

Step 8 of 10

Cut out your favourite Christmas shapes.

Step 9 of 10

Bake for 15 minutes and then cool on trays.

Step 10 of 10

Decorate with icing and Christmas sprinkles.
