  • 1 carrot, peeled and diced
  • 3 celery, trimmed and diced
  • 6 mushrooms, diced
  • 3tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup red wine
  • 800grams diced tomatoes
  • 1tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 400grams spaghetti, cooked

Description

You can pack lots of veggies into this easy and yummy bolognese and no one will know.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Set the slow cooker to low. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the turkey mince for 5 minutes until golden. Season with salt. Transfer to the slow cooker. Tip in the the rest of the olive oil, onion, and garlic to the pan. Season with salt and cook for 3 minutes, or until just softened.

Step 2 of 3

Tip in the carrot, celery, mushroom and tomato paste. Season with salt and mix until the slightly soft and transfer to slow cooker. Stir in the wine and scrape the bottom of the pan. Transfer to the slow cooker.

Step 3 of 3

Put everything else in the crock pot and stir thoroughly. Cook for 1 1/2 hours. Serve on top of cooked pasta.
