- 800grams Ardmona Sliced Apples
- 1teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 sheets puff pastry, slightly thawed
- 5milliliter milk (to brush on top)
- 1teaspoons raw sugar (to sprinkle on top)
Description
A delicious morning or afternoon tea treat.
Method
Step 1 of 6
Into a small bowl add the sliced apples, making sure to discard any seeds, stems or cores that may still remain in the apples. Add cinnamon and mix to combine, set aside. Line two trays with baking paper.
Step 2 of 6
Cut each sheet of pastry into four triangles (I use a pizza wheel to cut my pastry).
Step 3 of 6
Add two heaped teaspoons of apples in each triangle, allowing room around the edge to crimp and prevent any leakage. Fold pastry over to form a parcel, crimp edges with a fork, prick tops to allow steam to escape.
Step 4 of 6
Brush the tops with Milk, then sprinkle with raw sugar. Carefully place on baking trays.
Step 5 of 6
Bake at 180 degrees fan until golden in colour and nicely risen. Cool on wire racks. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!
Step 6 of 6
Serve as they are or with fresh cream, ice cream or custard. Best eaten the same day or can be frozen for later.
