  • 1 medium orange, keep zest and juice
  • 60grams self raising flour
  • 50grams milk chocolate

Description

The winning combo of chocolate and orange makes for a crowd pleasing cupcake the whole family will love. 

Method

Step 1 of 7

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced and lightly grease your cupcake baking tin.

Step 2 of 7

In a mixing bowl, combine 60g of the butter and the egg with the caster sugar and 1 tbs of orange juice.

Step 3 of 7

Add the flour to the mixture while stirring constantly to achieve a smooth batter.

Step 4 of 7

Melt the chocolate in the microwave for a few seconds and add to the batter.

Step 5 of 7

Equally pour the batter into 6 cupcake holders and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Step 6 of 7

In a mixing bowl, combine the icing sugar with 100g of butter. Using a piping bag, ice the cupcakes.

Step 7 of 7

Garnish with orange zest before serving.
