Sausage Roll with Plant-Based 'Beef'

10 Ingredients
- 150grams vegan puff pastry
- 1/4 cup rice milk
- 1tablespoons sesame seeds
- 100grams plant based mince
- 10grams vegan bread crumbs
- 1 cloves garlic, peeled and diced
- 1 medium red onion, peeled and diced
- 1/2teaspoons fennel, chopped
- 1teaspoons rosemary, chopped
- 1teaspoons olive oil
Description
A friendly spin on this meaty classic.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Heat up a pan to a medium heat add the oil and fry the garlic and onion for 2 minutes.
Step 2 of 5
Now add the plant based mince with the herbs and breadcrumbs and continue to fry and toss for 4 minutes.
Step 3 of 5
Remove from the heat and allow to cool enough so you can touch. Prepare your puff pastry by brushing with rice milk.
Step 4 of 5
Now place the stuffing in the pastry as tightly packed as possible, roll and seal tightly. Brush more rice milk on top and then sprinkly the sesame seeds over before baking.
Step 5 of 5
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until cooked through or dark browned on the outside and serve with a choice sauce.
