  • 1kilograms peacharines, stoned and skinned
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 navel orange
  • 2teaspoons mixed spice

So easy! First attempt at jam, now my mind is racing with other jam options

Method

Step 1 of 5

Blanche peacharines until skin begins to split, remove skin and de-stone.

Step 2 of 5

Zest orange, chop peacharines.

Step 3 of 5

Add peacharines, sugar, zest and juice of orange and mixed spice back to the same pan

Step 4 of 5

Simmer, stirring occasionally for approximately 30-40 minutes or until mixture is a thick enough consistency to coat the back of a cold spoon.

Step 5 of 5

Decant into sterilised jars, refrigerate and enjoy!
