  • 1 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 oranges
  • 1/4 cup chocolate-flavoured topping
  • 2/3 cup jaffas
  • 1 egg

Method

Step 1 of 5

Place Jaffas in a snaplock bag and bash with a rolling pin into large pieces.

Step 2 of 5

Sift flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre. Whisk milk and egg in a jug. Gradually whisk milk mixture into the flour until smooth, adding a little more milk if mixture is too thick. Stir in half the Jaffas, then cover and set aside to stand for 30 minutes.

Lightly grease a non-stick frying pan and place over medium heat. Spoon 1/4 cupful of batter into the pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until golden. Transfer to a warm plate while cooking remaining pancakes.

Step 4 of 5

Using a vegetable peeler, thinly peel half one of the oranges, removing as much white pith from the peel as possible. Thinly slice the peel into long strips. Peel remaining oranges, remove pith and cut flesh into segments.

Step 5 of 5

Serve pancakes topped with chocolate topping, orange segments, orange rind and remaining Jaffas.
