  • 115grams unsalted butter
  • 450grams plain flour
  • 1teaspoons bicarbonate soda

Description

An old fashioned favourite, this customer honey jumble recipe is made with just a few ingredients and topped with the traditional white and pink icing.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Put butter and 450g honey in saucepan and bring to the boil.

Step 2 of 5

Remove from heat and allow to stand for 10 mins

Step 3 of 5

Place 60g honey, flour and bicarb in a bowl and add melted honey mixture. Stir until combined. Set aside for 2 hrs to cool.

Step 4 of 5

Put mixture onto a floured bench and shape into oblongs. Use your hands to roll into sausages and flatten slightly. It will be sticky.

Step 5 of 5

Place on baking trays lined with baking paper and bake in 180c oven for 11-12 mins. Until golden. Leave on trays until cool.
Instruction tip

Ice with pink and white icing (or as desired). Try this royal icing recipe. You can also leave them plain, and they are still yummy.

Warning: icing them with the kids helping may be messy!
