Description

I made these pancakes for breakfast one morning using the Woolworth's Macro organic spelt flour, and now they are on regular rotation in our house!

Method

Step 1 of 5

Combine the spelt flour, baking powder and caster sugar in a bowl.

Step 2 of 5

In a separate bowl combine the egg, milk, vanilla essence and melted butter.

Step 3 of 5

Whisk the wet ingredients together with the dry ingredients to create a smooth batter.

Step 4 of 5

Grease a non stick fry pan with a spray and heat over a medium flame. Ladle in amounts of the mixture onto the and cook them for a couple of minutes on each side.

Step 5 of 5

Stack them on a plate and serve. For a healthy option, top with Greek yogurt, sliced bananas and a drizzle of maple syrup. For a more indulgent option, top with ice cream!
