Description

Master this Sunday-night favourite with the help of your trusty air fryer and you'll be the go-to for crispy-skinned, juicy roast chicken.

Method

Step 1 of 4

In a small bowl, combine seasoning with butter to form a paste. Pat chicken dry with paper towel. Rub paste all over chicken and inside chicken cavity. Fill cavity with 2 garlic halves and three-quarters of the thyme.

Step 2 of 4

Preheat air fryer to 180°C for 10 minutes. Line air-fryer basket with foil and baking paper. Place chicken, breast-side down, inside prepared air-fryer basket. Place remaining garlic halves around chicken and air-fry for 50 minutes or until chicken is golden and almost cooked through.

Step 3 of 4

Meanwhile, place broccolini and beans in a large heatproof bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stand vegetables for 2 minutes, then drain.

Step 4 of 4

Turn chicken over. Cook for a further 10 minutes or until juice runs clear when chicken is pierced with a skewer in the thickest part. Transfer chicken to a serving plate. Loosely cover with foil and rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, place broccolini and beans in air fryer. Cook at 180°C for 10 minutes or until lightly roasted. Add vegetables and garlic to a serving platter. Top with remaining thyme and serve with gravy.
