  • 350mL passata sauce
  • 2tablespoons maple syrup
  • 400grams canned borlotti beans, drained, rinsed
  • 450grams Woolworths American-style slaw kit
  • 130grams sweet spiced gherkins, sliced
  • 4 brioche buns, sliced

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook bacon for 5 minutes or until golden. Add onion and garlic. Cook for a further 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in paprika, sauces, and maple syrup. Bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes or until mixture has thickened. Stir in beans and cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.

Preheat an oven grill. Place buns, cut-side up, on a tray. Cook in oven for 5 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Place bun bases on serving plates. Spoon bean mixture over buns. Top with a little slaw. Drizzle with a little dressing. Top with gherkins. Sandwich with bun lids. Serve with remaining slaw drizzled with remaining dressing.
