Description

The idea of coating chickpeas with smoked paprika, sugar and garlic and mustard powders to make a tasty, crunchy snack? That would quicken anyone's pulse ...
Instruction tip
Storing tip:
Once completely cool, store chickpeas in an airtight container to keep them crunchy.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat air fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes. Pat chickpeas dry. Spray air-fryer basket lightly with oil. Place chickpeas into basket. Cook for 5 minutes or until chickpeas are dry. Spray with oil and toss. Cook, shaking basket occasionally, for 10 minutes or until golden.

Step 2 of 3

Meanwhile, combine paprika, sugar, garlic powder and mustard in a small bowl. Season well.

Step 3 of 3

Add half of the seasoning mixture to chickpeas. Cook for a further 2 minutes or until golden and crunchy. Transfer to a bowl. Sprinkle with remaining seasoning and season freshly ground cracked pepper. Toss to combine. Top with thyme to serve.
