Learn how to make an easy creamy mushroom sauce to serve with steak or toss through pasta.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Melt butter into a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 4 minutes or until softened. Add garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.

Step 2 of 3

Add mushroom and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally or until tender. Add thyme and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. Add vinegar and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add cream and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until cream has reduced by half.

Step 3 of 3

Season and serve sprinkled with extra thyme.
