Description

Dip strawberries in rich, dark chocolate for a treat.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Wash and dry the strawberries well. Try to leave the hulls in, as this makes the finished fruit easier to pick up.

Step 2 of 4

Put the chocolate in a small heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of simmering water, making sure the bowl does not touch the water. Stir frequently and remove it as soon as it melts.

Step 3 of 4

Line a large sheet with greaseproof paper. Hold ea ch strawberry by its leaves and dip the end in the chocolate, so half of the fruit is covered in chocolate. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off back into the bowl, then place the strawberries on the baking sheet, making sure they do not touch each other.

Step 4 of 4

Put in a cool place to set. These should be served the same day, as the chocolate will soften if the strawberries are over-ripe, or if they are kept in the fridge for too long.
