  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/4teaspoons cumin
  • 1/4teaspoons salt (to taste)
  • 1/4teaspoons pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)

Description

These look and taste quite similar to chicken nuggets. Lovely with whichever dipping sauce you choose.

Method

Step 1 of 6

Heat oven to 180' C

Step 2 of 6

Process oats until fine.

Step 3 of 6

Drain chickpeas and keep the liquid. Add chickpeas to the oats, onion salt, garlic salt, cumin, salt and pepper and 1/4 cup of the chickpea liquid. Whiz to a thick paste ( I like it still a little chunky)

Step 4 of 6

Roll into balls and flatten into a rectangle.

Step 5 of 6

Roll in breadcrumbs and place on a lined baking sheet. Optional - you might like to add some extra onion powder to the breadcrumbs.

Step 6 of 6

Cook at 180' C for 20 minutes.
