Description
Using a basic scone dough, this makes a tasty lunch or snack.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Combine the scone mix and milk to form a dough. This can be done in a stand mixer using a dough hook (3 minutes kneading) or kneaded by hand. Once kneaded, rest the dough for 5 minutes.
Step 2 of 5
Mix all the remaining ingredients. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.
Step 3 of 5
Roll out the scone dough to a rectangle approximately 1 cm thickness. Spread the filling over the dough leaving one of the long edges clear. Carefully roll up the dough from the opposite long edge and use the clear edge to seal the roll.
Step 4 of 5
Cut the roll into 2 cm thick slices and lay on a lined baking tray with the swirl facing upwards.
Step 5 of 5
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or till golden and cooked through.
